Aber Falls
Suggested by a friend of mine the day before, I decide to go to the Aber Falls. No fancy to take the bus - I guess there should be one passing nearby there - so let's go on foot..from Bangor it's more than a relaxing walk, let's say. I have to edge the highway for 2 miles, but then I turn left entering this little, tiny village named Abergwyngregyn. You may think it's strange, well, I'll tell you this. In North Wales, on the isle of Anglesey precisely, there's a small, tiny village whose name is - be ready - Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. The translation is: Saint Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near a rapid whirpool and the church of Saint Tysilio of the red cave. Recently, a video gained public praise because this guy manged to spell it without getting flustered. Coming back to Aber Falls, rain's coming. Luckily I have my raincoat! There's a footpath which will directly bring you to the falls in 30 min walking slowly, in 15 min at my pace. Landscapes are beautiful: I decide to have lunch here, sat on the lawn at the foot of the falls. An extremely peaceful place. To come back I don't take the same path, but the North Wales Coastal Path: a long promenade amongst horses and sheeps. Magnificent landscape from Puffin Island to Menai Bridge in a view! Step by step I come back to Bangor.

Suggestion:
- Check the forecast before going and even if it should be sunny, take the raincoat with you. This accounts for the UK, where the weather is so ephemeral and the forecast could be so wrong.
- Take your packed lunch and save money :)
