Beaumaris: a wonderful surprise. Where to start? I've been here 3 times, so I had time to deeply explore the village and the surroundings.
The village itself is pretty cool, with some attraction. The most famous is perhaps the Beaumaris Castle, built by King Edward, but never completed. Among the North Wales castles, I think it's not the best one but worth a visit. 5,1£ the student ticket, and 1 hour of visit is maybe too much. After the castle, have a stroll on the pier or on the main street: here you'll find the Bulkeley Hotel (free toilet inside; remember this because on the castle there's no toilet, it's outside and you have to pay). There are a couple of nice souvenir shops and some eateries as weel, first of all Neptune, where you can have a tasty fish and chips.
I also visited the Beaumaris Gaol, the former prison, which is nice to see if the rain doesn't allow you to spend your time outside. Ticket for student for 4£ and 1 and a half hour visit should be enough.
If you like nature, you must take a boat trip to Puffin Island: the best period is summer, between June and August, the time gap in which puffins will stay on the island. You could spot porpoises and atlantic grey seals as well. I was lucky and I spotted all of them! It was such an emotion. There are at least two different companies which run the services, and I take Seacoast Safari, which I suggest you. 90 minutes trip for 8,10£ (student ticket).
If you like walking, why not go to Penmon on foot? On the boat trip you'll pass along the Lighthouse, and the coast you see there is Penmon point. At a sustained pace, you'll be here from Beaumaris in 2 hours, and for some trait you can walk straight on the beach. Once there, enjoy a slice of cake in the cafè or sit down on the rocks listening to the sound of waves crushing...And, if you like ruins, don't miss the Aberlleiniog Castle, which is on the way to Penmon. You'll find sign on the road.
